Homeowner Selection Criteria
- Need for adequate housing
- Current housing is inadequate or too expensive
- Unable to obtain a conventional mortgage
- Ability to pay the Habitat mortgage
- Steady income within the guidelines
- No unpaid liens or judgments
- Current on all utilities
- Have not declared bankruptcy in the last 24 months
- Willingness to partner with Habitat by fulfilling partnership requirements:
- Complete sweat equity
- Participate in homeowner education classes
- Contribute down payment
- Live where Habitat is working
